Umang 2026 

The Loknayak Jai Prakash Institute of Technology (LNJPIT), Chhapra is all set to host its annual sports events Umang 2026 from 15 January to 18 January 2026, in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education  Patna.

This divisional-level sports meet will see active participation from students and faculty of LNJPIT, Chhapra, Government Engineering College, Gopalganj, and Government Engineering College, Siwan. More than 350 players will compete across 43 sporting events, including cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, table tennis, chess, javelin throw, and several other disciplines.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 15 January 2026 at the LNJPIT campus, will be inaugurated by the institute’s Principal, Dr. Bimal Kumar, who will formally declare the event open. The festival aims to strengthen sports culture, teamwork, and healthy competition among engineering students of the Saran division.
